Kayaba Coffee

Food & Drink Art & Architecture

Kayaba Coffee is famous as an old-style café that represents the Yanaka area. It was founded in 1934, and although it closed down at one point, it was revived with a retro aesthetic. Not only the exterior but also the inside of the store uses signs, chairs, tableware and other items from that time period, making it possible for patrons to enjoy the Showa era. Their egg sandwich is famous and uses a sweet and thick-cut egg and a bit of mustard which compliments the taste of the egg. The holidays can get crowded, so it is recommended that you go on weekday mornings.
